Experience
I'm a 2020 graduate of the William & Mary School of Education. I became well-versed in APA formatting throughout my graduate education. I want to tutor Psychology and APA because I know how stressful it is when students fall behind in coursework and I want to make APA formatting and completing their syllabus assignments easier and more accessible. I also enjoy psychology and am motivated to tutor in this subject. I started my undergraduate years at Spelman College as a biology student, but I felt a need to help people in society and switched to the social sciences. I decided to create my own curriculum, a blend of sociology, psychology, research methods and philosophy. I became an independent major in Social Psychology. At Hampton University I discovered a need to bring psychology and mental health awareness to the student body. I hosted workshops and promoted therapy as an avenue of healing and maintaining wellness. During my years at William & Mary I focused understanding all aspects of the university. I developed a theoretical toolkit to tie the needs of under-served student populations to administrative practices. Throughout my courses, in addition to being tutored in APA, I became very proficient in this writing style.
